The lady of the lake was a lot more than just the watery woman who gave king Arthur Excalibur, she was also Merlins apprentice and lover, and in time she became much more powerful than even him. It was she that imprisoned Merlin for all time. I painted this portrait of this powerful woman in watercolour.

wow :wow: like....... wow........ this is praps one of the best pieces i've seen and it's nice to here about Nimue in her true sense. It's also said, accourind to the book i'm currently reading, that when merlin supposedly died he passed on his power and knowledge to her making some people such as lancelot and guinevere supisious that she had killed him for his power. thats just what i read though. again wow!
