Hot off the drawing board, or rather, wet off the painting board? I dunno! I just finished this then. I woke up this morning with the need to paint this image, and four hours later, here it is. Fairly simple, the tree was my main subject for this, plus look! Another fairy man! I'm much more happy with this depiction of a male fairy than my last... I can see these guys becoming addictive though. Watercolour and just a teeny bit of white pencil, and ink... and gouache... and acrylic.... man.... I'm really going crazy with the mixed media these days!

well trees are by far my favorite thing to paint:) and 4 hours? :omg: i'm impressed, i always try to do something different once in awhile also this is definatly wonderful :aww: I'm still trying my luck with gouache. havn't really attacked a painting with it yet:) i'll use this as some inspiration

Well, to be honest, the only thing I use gouache for is the little white highlights and sparklies ^_^

pretty much the same with me. but artists like PJ Lynch use it on the majority of any piece he works on which i love :) regardless wonderful painting :heart:

I like! A sleepover of little girls here tonight too... all of the 10-yr-olds like, too, lol. My daughter thinks she needs to collect him.

I like his wings, but am still trying to figure out the perspective. How big you think he is? The tree is hard to judge, it could be a large tree or small. Either way, he isn't human size is he? Looks like just the sort to spy on humans and curious to boot. Just the right size too, if he wants to hide in the bushes. Love his tossled hair, fits right in with faeries. Always looks a bit odd having a faerie with a fresh haircut. :lol:

Yep I love it!! The subdued palette really works and well and YAY for male faeries.
