Artist's Comments

Something a little different... not entirely sure why I decided to do this as a three panel artwork but thought I'd go with it. Done in watercolour at A2 size, details coming next!

*SelinaFenech is not exactly an unknown artist but not as well-known as she should be and her piece Dark Waters, Bright Skies isn't just an example of technical skill but also shows a good eye for design and imagination. (Suggested by `lockstock and Featured by `oedalis)

Yeearh brilliant! And with watercolour too! I always found watercolour was tricky to work with. And it works so very well as three panels. Did you use any references with this for textures or anythings?

I used reference for the three figures, the lighting wasn't best on them though, and they made me decide I really need to lose my belly a bit if I keep using myself as a model :p But they did help a fair bit for foreshortening and the angles.

Nice work. I like the details you put on the middle panel.

The poet ranks far below the painter in the representation of visible things, and far below the musician in that of invisibe things.
