Reminds me a bit of Snow White and the seven dwarfs. Except there are only six of the green ones. Perhaps the blond is the seventh? Good watercolors are always so impressive. Not just technique but medium. *love*
Actually this one had no reference photo, which is why it is less realistic than some of my other works. But the best tip is, if you use reference photos enough and really learn the human form from them, then when there isn't a photo around you can still get a fair bit right just by memory
Thank you for the advice! I've been trying my very hardest to draw people....but it's just so hard! I use loads of reference photos....the grid thing and all that, but I can't seem to get my drawings to look like the photos!
LOL. I've got a dozen books on drawing people on hold at my local library...I'll probably go pick them up today and get started on it! I know I won't get anywhere as good as YOU are.....but I'd like very much to be at least moderately proficient. Guess I should get started right now, huh?
hehe I really like the title..it is very suitable for this piece! I absolutely love the textures here, did you by any chance use the salt technique to achieve this? Everything is so enchanting..the flow of her hair, the glitters... Amazing work!
